Dines Dumaan bags gold in Asian Pencak Silat Championship

DINES Dumaan captured a gold medal in the 3rd Asian Pencak Silat Championship in Chungju City, South Korea.

Dumaan beat a Singaporean foe to top the 45-50kg Class A tanding final in the competition that is also part of the World Martial Arts Festival.

Dumaan was coming off a gold-medal victory in the 29th Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, the first for the country in pencak silat in 12 years.

Jelly Joy Huinda and Alvin Campos won silver medals in the same event, while Juanillio Ballesta II, Solomon Eluna, Yale Alanano, James El Mayagma, Juryll Del Rosario, Naseef Jshmael, Precious Jade Borre, Jherica Amodia, and Trisha Marie Leda captured bronze medals.
