UFC books two more bouts for Fight Night Manila: Lamas vs Penn undercard
UFC Fight Night Manila: Lamas vs Penn adds two more bouts featuring impressive strikers and grappling specialists.

UFC Fight Night Manila: Lamas vs Penn added more firepower to the card with two more bouts featuring dynamic strikers and fighters staking impressive win streaks on October 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The UFC announced the addition of the welterweight battle between James Moontasri and Alex Morono, along with the clash of middleweights Dongi Yang and Ryan Janes to the Manila card headlined by the featherweight bout of MMA legend BJ Penn against Ricardo Lamas.

Moontasri, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Muay Thai, brings his fast and dynamic striking to the test against the versatile Morono, who’s looking to stretch his six-match win streak, with the most recent one a split-decision victory over Kyle Noke in UFC 195.

Meanwhile, knockout artist Yang has won his past three MMA fights, including his UFC comeback last November, via TKO. But on the other corner is grappling specialist Janes, who’s also on a seven-fight win streak, five of which via rear-naked choke submissions.

Before the Lamas-Penn headliner, heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Marcin Tybura collide in the co-main event. Flyweight title contenders Kyoji Horiguchi and Ali Bagautinov are also set to clash, along with the UFC’s first women’s bout in the Philippines between Seo Hee Ham and Danielle Taylor.

Featherweights Mizuto Hirota and Cole Miller will also trade blows, while lightweights Jon Tuck and Medhi Baghdad clash at the Mall of Asia Arena as well.
