KEVIN Belingon seeks payback for Eduard Folayang as he takes on Martin Nguyen for the interim bantamweight championship in ONE: Reign of Kings on July 27 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Facing an Australian foe who knocked out his Lakay stablemate in Folayang last November to strip the Filipino standout of his lightweight title, Belingon takes his shot at Nguyen in the main event of ONE’s third card in the country this year.

“As one of the top bantamweights in ONE Championship, I am willing to take on all comers,” Belingon said. “It doesn’t matter to me who is the opponent.”

“In fact, I am honored to face Martin Nguyen, a two-division world champion,” he added. “If I can beat Martin, it would be huge. This is a great position I am in, and I am excited for this bout. It will be action-packed, for sure.”

The 30-year-old Belingon is on a five-fight win streak, the latest a second-round knockout win over Andrew Leone last April, while Nguyen is coming off a split-decision win over Christian Lee just last month.

The event came about after bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes has been ruled out due to an injury.
