Jon Jones back as UFC champion with third-round stoppage of Daniel Cormier
Jones improved to 23-1 and dared heavyweight Brock Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion and now sined to a pro wrestling outfit, to a fight.

JON Jones is champion again as he beat Daniel Cormier by technical knockout in the third round of their light heavyweight title bout in UFC 214 on Saturday in Anaheim, California.

In his first fight in over a year, Jones was simply dominant and stopped Cormier, the titleholder for two years, at 3:01 of the third round with a barrage of punches after a huge left kick to the head and a trip.

Jones improved to 23-1 and dared heavyweight Brock Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion and now signed to a pro wrestling outfit, to a fight.

"Brock Lesnar, you want to know what it feels like to get your ass kicked by someone who weighs 40 pounds less than you? Meet me in the Octagon."

Cormier suffered the second loss in his pro MMA career, after being defeated also by Jones in UFC 182.

Jones won a decision over Ovince St Preux in UFC 197 in April last year for the interim title.
