LEVEL it up.
Last year with its Disney-inspired routine, Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion felt like champion.
This time the Katipunan-based squad is aiming higher in the UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition.
Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion coach Jacqueline Alolor-Alota did not bother to sugarcoat her words when she revealed that they worked double time improving their routine.
“After kasi ng cheerdance last year feeling namin champion kami after we performed,” said the outspoken coach. “Kasi we knew for a fact na hindi naman kataasan ang level of difficulty namin pero ‘yung naperfect namin from the start to end and ‘yung mga bata they really feel the contentment para sa akin as their coach, champion coach ako that year.”
“So ngayon medyo, hindi lang medyo, kailangan mahigitan namin ang pinakita namin last year,” she added.
Taking the UAAP CDC fans to a whole new experience, Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion vowed to better its best.
“Hindi naman pwedeng isang element lang ang strength mo, overall ‘yun dapat lahat ng elements. Ngayon inimprove namin lahat ng skills, binonggahan namin,” said Alolor-Alota.
For graduating team captain Mikee Turano, there’s no other way to end her UAAP career with a podium finish.
“Syempre in general naman clean, safe and perfect run, a run we’ll be proud off. Pero syempre gusto ko pa rin mag-podium,” she said. “And I think anyone from any team who’s competing would really aim for podium pero as a senior na eversince first year, ito na talaga let’s build up to the podium.”
With high morale and positive attitude coming into the much awaited cheerdance competition, Alolor-Alota reminded her wards of one thing.
“Higitan lang namin ‘yung performance namin last year, ang kalaban nila sarili pa rin nila kung paano nila mahigitan ang performance nila last year,” she said.
