NU quest for back-to-back UAAP cheerdance championship set for September 14

THE National University Pep Squad goes for a second straight title when the UAAP holds its highly-awaited cheerdance competition for Season 77 on September 14 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, according to a schedule released by the league on Tuesday.

Outside of men’s basketball and women’s volleyball, the cheerdance competition has become the most popular in the UAAP calendar, its annual event catching the fancy of thousands of fans, even outside the eight member schools of the league.

Foiled in their bid for a fourth straight title, the University of the Philippines Pep Squad is definitely looking to regain lost glory this season.

The De La Salle Animo Squad will also look to improve on its third place finish last year, while multi-titled University of Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe is aiming to contend again after failing to make it to the top three last season.
