UP Pep Squad member Noelynne Jane Figueroa could not think of a better way to end college but with a toss, and did so on stage on the day of her graduation.

When her name was called at the University of the Philippines Ampitheater on Saturday, Figueroa took centerstage as if stepping on the mat, her hands up and her fists closed while the UP Pep squad provided the beat.

“Nung tinawag ako, I felt happy and proud because all my hard work paid off,” said Figueroa. “Lahat ng puyat at pagod nalampasan ko as a student-athlete.”

Figueroa, a Sports Science major, was part of the UP Pep Squad team that won back-to-back UAAP Cheerleading titles from 2011.

“I did it to cap off my cheerleading and college life,” she shared. “And that I'm forever grateful for my experiences and achievements as a member of the UP pep squad.”

As of posting time Figueroa’s Facebook video has reached 180,000 views and 2,000 shares.
