NCC National Finals gets going with banner field at MOA Arena

THE National Cheerleading Championship (NCC) will not be lacking in pep and cheer when it culminates its year-long competition with the NCC National Finals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on March 11 to 12.

Now on its 12th edition, the NCC, in partnership with Solar Entertainment, will gather 135 cheer, dance and drum squads from across the nation at the MOA Arena in the battle for top honors.

The NCC has evolved from a two-category (high school and college) meet among 10 teams overall (five for each division) into the biggest cheerleading competition in the country.

Starting the proceedings this year is the very first Drumline Competition.

“Each year, we continue to get bigger and better,” said NCC Director Paula Nunag.
The NCC now features over 300 participating schools from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The the top finishers in the Regionals held throughout the season will be at MOA this weekend.

Highlights of each leg can be seen on Solar Sports from March 3 to 8 at 7:30PM.

The Drumline and Dance contest on Friday, the All Girl Cheer will be held on Saturday with Coed Cheer capping the contest on Sunday.
