"IF we play our cards right and hit our routine, you are sure to be blown away."

This was the assurance of coach Randell San Gregorio with regards to the performance of the Far Eastern University Cheering Squad in the UAAP Season 80 Cheerdance Competition.

San Gregorio insisted that executing a flawless routine as well as putting the safety of his team are his top priorities and the results will take care of itself.

"Yung podium finish tsaka yung championship, it has been the goal ever since. Pero ang sinasabi ko sa team, ang goal natin is to hit a flawless run," San Gregorio said.

"Kasi yung past two years namin may mga sablay, so parang this year sabi ko sa kanila, importante yung championship pero mas importante sa akin yung ma-perfect nyo yung run nyo regardless of the result."

Team captain Jan Adrian Angeles couldn't agree more.

"Sino ba namang di gusto manalo? Pero para samin mas importante yung ma-perfect namin yung routine at tsaka safe lahat ng players. Yung championship bonus na lang samin yun," he said.

San Gregorio said the Morayta-based team upgraded every element of cheering and dance, but knows other teams did that as well.

That's why he couldn't help but be thrilled to hit the floor on December 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"I'm also looking forward to what the others team will do. Siyempre lahat naman kami nagpakapagod dito. Exciting talaga tong December 2 kasi I'm sure may mga baon tong mga teams," San Gregorio said.
