THE NATIONAL University Pep Squad just made the whole arena dance to the beat of the 80’s as it reclaimed the UAAP Cheerdance Competition crown on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Wearing the vibrant colors of pink, blue, and yellow, the Bulldogs came to redeem the glory through a ‘Cheerobics’ routine performing stunts never seen before to win their seventh title in nine seasons of UAAP CDC.
NU dethroned the Far Eastern University Cheering Squad, which clinched the title just last May this year, reclaiming their 2019 championship.
The Bulldogs recorded a total of 723 points, FEU follow with 719, and UST with 640 points.
Now with seven wins, NU is a win away from joining the University Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe and University of the Philippines Pep Squad as the winningest teams in CDC history.
The FEU Cheering Squad settled for silver with a Francis M-routine, while the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe finally got a spot in the podium, winning bronze with a Lady Gaga routine.
The España-based squad last approached the podium last 2017, and has settled for fourth during the last three seasons.
UE Pep Squad is fourth with their P-pop performance, followed by Adamson Pep Squad at fifth with the theme 'Reinvention'.
DLSU Animo Squad came seventh, and Ateneo settled for last place, again.
