ADAMSON University Pep Squad coach Jam Lorenzo was in awe of how, even despite his doubts, that his team finished third in the UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition.

After a few falls during the six-minute performance, members of the San Marcelino-based team were hugging each other, some were crying and Lorenzo was telling them that it was okay.

But as soon as they were called as the second runner-up, Lorenzo shed tears of joy as his wards erupted in cheers.

For him, every inch of sacrifice, from his players and from himself, was all worth it.

“One word: Thankful,” he said.
