ADAMSON University Pep Squad coach Jam Lorenzo was in awe of how, even despite his doubts, that his team finished third in the UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition.

After a few falls during the six-minute performance, members of the San Marcelino-based team were hugging each other, some were crying and Lorenzo was telling them that it was okay.

But as soon as they were called as the second runner-up, Lorenzo shed tears of joy as his wards erupted in cheers.

Looking back, from the moment he came up with the theme to the everyday practices, the challenges that came, both within the team and his personal life, Lorenzo couldn’t help but be thankful.

For him, every inch of sacrifice, from his players and from himself, was all worth it.

“One word: Thankful,” he said.
