HERMIE Macaranas and Ojay Fuentes bagged a silver and a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Junior and Under-23 Canoe Sprint Championship in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Macaranas and Fuentes took the silver in their pet event, the canoe 200-meter, behind Kazakhstan.
The two bagged bronze in the 1,000-meter event with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan grabbing the first two places.
The 22-year-old Macaranas and the 21-year-old Fuentes placed fifth in the canoe men’s doubles of the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
