LOS ANGELES - What’s in the horizon for Manny Pacquiao once he’s through taking on the biggest fight of his illustrious boxing career?
The legendary Filipino southpaw would rather not ponder on the future at this time.
“Sa akin mahirap magsalita ngayon,” when asked if he’s ready to hang up his gloves after his face-off with Floyd Mayweather on Sunday (Manila time) at the MGM Grand.
“Let’s just wait lang. We don’t know what is tomorrow. If it’s God’s will, it will be done.”
His wife Jinkee had said that if she will have her way, she wants her husband to finally give up the sport that had been very, very good to the Pacquiao family after the welterweight title fight against Mayweather, believing there’s nothing left to top this showdown fitting two of the biggest names in boxing.
But the lovely Mrs. Pacquiao also said everything is still her husband’s call.
The eight-time division champion said he is not stressing about what comes next for him and his career since no one knows for sure what the future holds.
“May mga tao nga nagpa-plano next month punta ako sa ganito. Pero after one week, biglang hindi naman pala matuloy,” he said.
He did make it clear though that in making life-changing decisions, God should always be at the center of it.
“We have to include God in all things that we plan,” he said. “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of its own.”
