WORLD Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Stone Cold Steve Austin expects Floyd Mayweather to cruise past Manny Pacquiao in their much-awaited May 2 (May 3, Manila time) title showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“Floyd Mayweather is going to handily win this fight,” said Austin, Steve Williams in real life, who made known his thoughts about boxing’s richest fight in his podcast.
But the former WWE heavyweight champion made it clear he also wants to see Pacquiao pull off an upset, although he believes it’s going to be a longshot.
“I’d love to see Pacquiao win this thing and upset Floyd Mayweather,” said Austin. “But it just ain’t going to happen."
But even if he loses, Austin said Pacquiao has already cemented his place in boxing history, stressing the Filipino southpaw is already a legend in the sport.
Austin also believes the fight will not live up to its hype, the reason he’s not inclined to buy pay-per-view for the fight.
