LAS VEGAS – The singing pastors reprise their acts as they get to sing the Philippine national anthem in Manny Pacquiao’s third fight against Timothy Bradley this Saturday.
Except for one additional member in Fil-Am Allan Palacios Tan, the same group will be back to sing Lupang Hinirang on the night Pacquiao clashes with Bradley for the third time at the MGM Grand.
The pastors come from different Christian churches in General Santos and Sarangani, respectively.
It will be the third time the group has been tasked to do the national anthem during a Pacquiao fight.
The singing pastors first sang the national anthem during Pacquiao’s match against Chris Algieri in Macau two years ago followed by their appearance in the Filipino’s blockbuster fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. last year.
Previous artists who sang ‘Lupang Hinirang’ in past Pacman fights include Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Arnel Pineda, Geneva Cruz, Sarah Geronimo, Kyla, Karylle, Maria Aragon, Charice, La Diva, and Ciara Sotto.
