POPULAR Filipino rapper Andrew E has posted on his Twitter account that Macau will be the next site of Manny Pacquiao’s highly-awaited ring return.
“Guess where – Macau,” bared the rapper on his account@andrewe_dongalo.
Andrew E, a close friend of the boxing superstar and a fixture in past Pacquiao campaign sorties, recently met with the 34-year-old Pacquiao at the Roadhaus Inn, a posh hotel owned by the Sarangani congressman in General Santos City.
The rapper, whose surname is Espiritu, later posted the photo of him together with Pacquiao on his Instagram account.
Pacquiao is coming off a savage sixth-round knockout loss to Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez and a possible fifth fight likely to take place in September, is on the radar of Top Rank Promotions chairman Bob Arum.
But the high percentage of taxes withheld on his prize purse every time he fights in the US has prompted Pacquiao to consider other venues for his comeback fight, with Arum suggesting Macau, Dubai, and Singapore among the top options.
However, Pacquiao himself admitted during the 13th Annual Elorde Awards Night where he was the guest of honor and speaker, that there have been no formal talks yet about who he will meet next and where his next fight will be held.
Andrew E, though, added on his account that Pacquiao had dissected to him his last encounter against Marquez and what exactly went wrong in the course of the match,
“Doing analysis on his previous fight with Marquez and hinting to me about his next fight,” said Andrew E. “(He) jotted rematch this September.”
