LOS ANGELES – It’s something expected all along.

The small amount of tickets for the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight made available for public on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) were all but gone in less than two minutes.

According to a report by the Las Vegas-Review Journal, around 500 of the 16,700 seats at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas were sold to the public, ranging from US$1,500 to $1,700.

The two fighters and the MGM controlled the rest of the tickets for the May 2 mega-showdown that is expected to go down as the richest ever in the history of prizefighting.

Shortly after the tickets sold out, secondary ticket markets began posting seats for sale. The same report cited Stubhub.com listing seats from $5,270.25 per seat in Section 202 to $141,575.25 for a floor seat in Section E.
