Manny Pacquiao has more or less six weeks to get in perfect shape for his fourth meeting with Juan Manuel Marquez this December.

BOXING superstar Manny Pacquiao left for the US on Saturday night for the second and crucial phase of his training for the December 9 non-title fight with Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.

The only boxer to win eight worlds titles in as many weight divisions departed on board Philippine Airlines flight 102, and is expected to land at the LAX International Airport in Los Angeles afternoon of Sunday (Manila time).

Pacquiao began the first part of his training in General Santos City after deferring his US trip for the past three weeks.

The Filipino southpaw is expected to begin his heavy training at the Wild Card gym on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) with just about six weeks left before he renews his bitter rivalry with Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao and his entourage were transported from GenSan to Manila by a private plane owned by Ilocos Sur Gov. Chavit Singson.
