MANNY Pacquiao shared the stage with superstar athletes Novak Djokovic, Ronaldo, Tony Parker, Paolo Maldini, and Khabib Nurmagomedov during the Global Outstanding Sporting Career Awards at the inaugural World Sports Summit in Dubai.
The boxing legend, who recently turned 47, personally accepted the award in the presence of his Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rahid Al Maktoum during the special ceremony held last Dec. 29.
Who's who in sports
The only fighter to win eight world division titles, Pacquiao was recognized for his legendary 26-year professional boxing career.
Djokovic is regarded as one of the best tennis players of all time, the same with Ronaldo in football.
Parker was a four-time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs; Maldini is the legendary Italian football player and lifelong icon of AC Milan, while Khabib was the longest reigning UFC lightweight champion who retired undefeated.
Last year, Pacquiao came out of retirement and vied for the WBC welterweight title of Mario Barrios in a 12-round fight that ended in a majority draw.
Just a month before the championship bout, the Filipino great was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
