LOS ANGELES – Even in the midst of preparation for the biggest fight of his illustrious career, Manny Pacquiao still found the time to celebrate the first birthday of son Israel.

The entire Pacquiao family drove 40 miles from here just to give the newest member of the clan a fitting birthday bash that comes exactly a week before his father faces Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The celebration was held at Irvine, Orange County in the home of Abbas Samadi, who has a car dealership firm which sponsors the boxing pride from the Philippines since last year during his rematch with Timothy Bradley.

It was actually a double birthday party for Israel and Abbas’ child, although the young Pacquiao won’t really turn one until April 27.

Pacquiao was in a hurry to travel to Orange County that sparring on Saturday at the Wild Card gym began and ended on time.
