    Pacquiao comes home to a grateful nation hoping it isn't the end of great career

    LOS ANGELES — Manny Pacquiao comes home to the warm embrace of his countrymen when he arrives in Manila at dawn of Thursday fresh from his emphatic victory over Timothy Bradley.

    Pacquiao will be on board Philippine Airlines flight PR 103, accompanied by his wife Jinkee, family, and close friends who were at ringside of the MGM Grand to witness him fight for the last time in a legendary career.

    The boxing superstar from the Philippines scored a unanimous decision over Bradley on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time) in what he said was his farewell bout and finished his career with a 58-6-2 record, including 38 KOs.

    Most fans hope this isn't the end.

    A hero's welcome awaits Pacquiao from the moment he arrives at Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. No definite itinerary has been put in place, although Pacquiao and his family will be honored in a breakfast by GMA-7.

    The eight-time world division champion spent the entire Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) in his mansion on Plymouth Boulevard meeting friends, relatives and other guests.

    He did some last-minute shopping with his family at an Apple store here hours prior to departure and then watched a movie with them at The Grove, according to his personal assistant David Sisson.
