LAS VEGAS - You win some, you lose some.
That's basically what Mommy Dionisia told Timothy Bradley moments after her boxing superstar son Manny Pacquiao reclaimed the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title on Saturday night (Sunday, Manila time).
Mommy D was seen approaching the vanquished American inside the ring amid the euphoria at the MGM Grand after Pacquiao was declared the winner of the 12-round match via unanimous decision.
"Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Sorry Bradley. Ganyan lang ang boksing,'" the feisty Pacquiao matriarch said when asked what she whispered to the former champion.
And Bradley's response?
"I believe you, mama."
The elder Pacquiao once denounced Bradley and the judges who favored him when the american won his first title encounter with Pacquiao in controversial fashion back in 2012.
But with her son winning their rematch, Mommy D opted to be chummy with the erstwhile unbeaten fighter from Palm Springs, California, even for a moment.
Mommy D said Bradley also gave Pacquiao the thumbs up during their short talk.
"Sabi niya pa, your son," said Mommy D before mimicking how Bradley gave Pacquiao the thumbs-up sign.
