YOKOHAMA, Japan - There is no rematch clause whatever the outcome of the Naoya Inoue-Marlon Tapales fight for the undisputed super-bantamweight championship of the world.
But the camp of the Filipino champion, who holds the WBA and IBF versions of the 122 lbs title belts, is willing to give the Japanese side one if ever.
"The answer to that is no," said MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons when asked of any rematch clause as part of the fight contract.

"But we're more than happy to be back here in Japan."
It's how indirectly the Tapales camp feels how it can pull off a massive upset before an expected partisan crowd at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.
Tapales (37-3, 17 KOs) is a 7-1 underdog against Inoue (25-0, 22 KOs) heading to their Dec. 26 unification match
