Dr. Phil advice to Manny Pacquiao: 'Just go beat the @%$& out of him'

    Apr 23, 2015

LOS ANGELES – Manny Pacquiao took time out from his training camp for his mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. to make another appearance in the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ over ABC on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).

The 36-year-old boxing superstar went to the studio in a red jacket over jeans to reunite with the popular talk show host, who became a close friend since making his first ever appearance in the program in 2009 before his welterweight title bout against Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao told the 47-year-old host that he’s not worried at all about Mayweather’s unbeaten record in 47 fights as a pro, stressing he relishes his role as an underdog in their May 3 (Manila time) encounter at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“No I’m not worried at all. It’s good for me because it gives more motivation, encouragement, and focus to win the fight,” said the Filipino boxing legend.

Pacquiao later did a duet with Kimmel as they did a rendition of his new song ‘Lalaban Ako Para sa Filipino,’ which he’ll use as his entrance music in his fight against Mayweather.

The eight-division world champion had to finish his afternoon training at the Wild Card gym on the dot as he had to rush to the studio for the taped episode of the program.

He also had a taped exchange with Dr. Phil. Here's a video:

In his previous appearances in the show, Pacquiao sang his own version of ‘Sometimes When We Touch’ and later on, had duets with Kimmel and Will Ferrell.
