IF you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Time and again rebuffed in her bid to convince Manny Pacquiao to retire from boxing, Mommy Dionesia said she plans to get in the ring soon and try the sport that turned her son into a worldwide star.

“Matagal ko na siyang (Manny) sinasabihang tumigil (sa boxing), ayaw pa niya. OK pa man siya daw,” the celebrated Pac-mom said during the weigh-in which she attended with boyfriend Michael Yamson.

“Ako nga na nanay, 65 (years old) pag may boxing sa Gensan, sasali ako. Totoo yan!” she swore.

The flamboyant Mrs. Pacquiao said she is serious, adding she is willing to fight opponents much younger than her.

“Sure, kung mayroong i-kwan ang mayor natin dun sa Philippines,” claimed the Pacquiao matriarch. “OK ako kahit 65 (years old) versus 45 (years old) ang edad ha.

“Matagal ko nang gusto mag boxing, mala lang kalaban.”

Asked if she can get the blessings of the eight-division world champion for his latest plan, Mommy D said: “Ewan ko lang (kung papayag) pero hingin ko sa kanya (permiso niya) kung may babae ng boxing sa GenSan.

“Gusto ko lang mag-boxing para mailabas ang tunay na lakas atsaka pawis ... Wala pa kong nalalaro na boxing pero may pinatulog na akong lalaki,” she said before cracking up.

Asked if her decision to enter boxing has something to do with other girls hovering around her dance instructor boyfriend who is 25 years younger, Mommy D broke into a laugh.

“Wala naman siyang girlfriend. Wala naman, kung meron … problema na niya. Hindi naman ako mag-hawak sa kwan. Kung sa akin, sa akin. Andyan 'yan sa kanya, walang problema sa akin,” she said.

But will she punch a third party if there was one, she was asked.

“(Laughed) Ay, hindi pwede (laughed),” came the response of the ever amiable mom.

Meanwhile, Mommy D bared that she and her boyfriend share a room at the Venetian with five other guests of Pacquiao - part of the over 300 guests he brought in from GenSan in two chartered AirAsia fights.

“Madami kami sa room. Pito kami sa room namin. Hindi ko solo. Makisosyo naman kami sa room,” she said.
