Manny Pacquiao says Conor McGregor has no chance in possibly 'boring' fight vs Mayweather
Manny Pacquiao sees a Floyd Mayweather win in a possibly 'boring' fight against Conor McGregor.

MANNY Pacquiao is looking forward to one boxing superfight after his WBO welterweight title defense against Jeff Horn on Sunday in Brisbane. But it won’t be the much-hyped battle between his rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. against UFC star Conor McGregor.

“The real fight and the best fight is [Gennady] Golovkin vs. Canelo [Alvarez]. The best vs. the best. That’s the fight I will be watching,” said Pacquiao to Yahoo Sports’ Dan Wetzel on Tuesday.

Golovkin takes on Alvarez on September 16, barely a month after the Mayweather-McGregor boxing match in Las Vegas on August 26.

The eight-division boxing champ also had a prediction on the Mayweather-McGregor bout, which he hopes won’t be a boring fight.

“McGregor has no chance in this fight. In fact, it could be very boring,” he said, adding he sees a Mayweather win as the 40-year-old unbeaten boxer is particularly adept at slipping punches more so against the 28-year-old MMA star who’s making his boxing debut.

“There is no way he will be able to land a meaningful punch on Floyd. How could he? He has no professional experience in boxing,” Pacquiao added about McGregor.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao bout two years ago owns the all-time pay-per-view record with 4.6 million customers, but the superfight with McGregor is aiming to top that. But Pacquiao just hopes the fight fans get their money’s worth.

“The fight is in boxing, not an MMA fight. That’s advantage with Floyd. I don’t think McGregor is comfortable in boxing, pure boxing. Im hoping it’s not gonna be a boring fight, with both fighters moving around. We’ll see,” said Pacquiao.
