WILL we see KIA players walking behind Manny Pacquiao when he enters the ring for his bout against Chris Algieri on Saturday?

One KIA Sorento player is excited about such possibility as the PBA's worst team at  present look forward to watching their playing coach's world title fight from ringside in Macau on Sunday.

Hans Thiele said they were once told by Pacquiao that he is considering bringing the entire KIA team to join him in his ring entrance and in the ring itself in the pre-fight intriductions at the Cotai Arena in Macau.

“May isang beses, sinuggest ni Boss Manny na kasama daw kaming aakyat sa ring. Sasama daw kami sa entourage. Pero ewan ko kung totoo ‘yun,” Thiele told

“Baka totoo ‘yun,” Thiele said in a hopeful tone.

Thiele added they were told to prepare for a worldwide audience that will watch the fight.

“Kung sa PBA, sa Pilipinas lang kayo; kapag sa ring na, (makikita na kayo) sa HBO,” the former University of the East cager added, quoting the Filipino boxing superstar.

Regardless of whether they join their coach in the ring or not, Thiele, a self-confessed Pacquiao fan, still couldn’t hide his excitement about seeing their head coach fight from ringside.

“Excited. First time ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yung environment kasi siyempre, nanonood lang kami dati sa TV,” Thiele said.

For his part, Reil Cervantes said the excitement over watching Pacquiao won’t be a distraction for the Sorento as they will immediately go home to train after the fight.

“Excited din kasi first time ko na makakapanood ng live na boxing,” Cervantes said. “Isang araw lang naman. Saturday ata alis namin. Sunday, uwi na rin."
