THERE won't be a rematch between Manny Pacquiao and reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Jeff Horn.

At least not until next year.

Duco Events, which promotes Horn, disclosed on Friday that the Australian champion will go on with his first title defense this November, but against somebody else other than the legendary Filipino fighter.

In a statement, Duco said Pacquiao has committed to face Horn again by next year.

"Pacquiao has committed to fight again in 2018 and a rematch with Jeff Horn for the WBO welterweight title," said Duco Events in the statement released by BoxingScene.com.

Duco Events said since Pacquiao has pulled out of a planned November 12 grudge match with Horn, the Aussie fighter will face another opponent on the pencilled date.

"Until then,Top Rank, Duco Promotions, TEQ (Tourism Events Queensland), and Brisbane Marketing will be exploring other options."
