MACAU – Yes, Kwanpichit Onesongchaugym looks like a 'mini me' of Manny Pacquiao.

But the boxing great from the Philippines was quick to make known who he will be supporting between the Thai fighter and Chinese opponent Zou Shiming in one of the main undercards of the Pacquiao-Chris Algieri welterweight title match this Sunday at the Cotai Arena.

“He looks like me,” said Pacquiao of the unbeaten Onesongchaugym (27-0, 12 KOs), who he personally saw and met during the formal press conference for his 12-round fight against Algieri on Wednesday night.

“But I’m rooting for Zou Shiming.”

That he’ll be betting on a Shiming win is understandable as Pacquiao and the two-time Olympic gold medalist both belong to trainer Freddie Roach’s Wild Card stable.

Like Onesongchaugym, Shiming, who won gold medals in the 2008 (Beijing) and 2012 Summer Games (London), is also undefeated, having gone 5-0 as a pro.

Both the Chinese and Thai fighters are 33 years old.

Onesongchaugym though has some Filipino affiliation as his trainer Bobby Villaver was born in Cebu, but has been based in Hawaii for 40 years now where he has a stable of Thai boxers.
