HE may be into mixed martial arts, but Carlos Condit knows a thing or two about boxing.

And the former Ultimate Fighting Championship interim welterweight champion believes Manny Pacquiao will blemish Chris Algieri’s immaculate record when they clash in Macau on November 23.

“I think Manny’s going to win,” the American MMA fighter predicted on Friday during a press conference hosted by ABS-CBN at the 9501 restaurant in the top giant TV station’s compound in Quezon City.

“That’s a good answer,” event host Boom Gonzalez replied, drawing chuckles from Condit and the audience.

Turning serious again, Condit, who dipped his hands into pro boxing in 2004 before pursuing the world’s fastest-growing sport full-time, believes the Filipino superstar's superior boxing will be the difference against the unbeaten Algieri.

“He’s a more dynamic striker and I think he’s going to outbox Chris,” said Condit, who’s in town to promote the UFC.

The 30-year-old Condit is one of the most exciting fighters in his sport, having scored all but two of his 29 wins by way of knockout.

The man known as 'The Natural Born Killer,' though, is still on the mend after undergoing a knee surgery following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear suffered during his fight against Tyron Woodley in UFC 171 last March.

But he is cleared for some light training and will showcase his striking prowess in an open workout  on Saturday at the Trinoma Activity Center at 4 p.m.

“I can’t do a whole lot of grappling. That’s one thing that I’m a hundred-percent green-lit for. But I’ll get in there, hit the pads, and show some cool combinations.”
