Ex-girlfriend files US$20M defamation lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather

FLOYD Mayweather’s former girlfriend has filed a $20 million defamation lawsuit against the undefeated boxer.

In a report by the New York Post, Josie Harris’s lawyer filed a civil complaint in the Los Angeles Superior Court against Mayweather for statements made in his Yahoo Global News interview with Katie Curic a few weeks ago.

In the interview, Mayweather denied beating up Harris, the mother of Mayweather’s three children. He said he had to restrain his ex-girlfriend in a 2010 incident in Las Vegas because she was high on drugs.

Mayweather served two months in jail in 2012 for misdemeanor domestic battery.

“I’m black. I’m rich. And I’m outspoken. Those are three strikes right there,” Mayweather said.
