WHERE were these Filipinos in 1995 when I first visited the US as gift from my old man who wanted me to see what life was all about on the other side of the world?

That was an uneasy time when most Filipinos going through US Immigration were profiled as a TNT (tago ng tago), an illegal alien.

All these changed when Manny Pacquiao invaded the USA in 2001 and made a name for himself in the fight game, in the process giving each and every Filipino a reason to be proud of who we are as a people.

Now Filipinos are coming out in droves brandishing the tri-color in every which way possible.

In Manny Pacquiao, we found every reason to take pride in who we are as a nation and as a people.
