LAS VEGAS – Manny Pacquiao disclosed he’s finally cracked the code on his long battle with leg cramps.
And it’s something that has to do with his regular leg massages.
“Nabubugbog siyang masyado. Minamasahe siya umaga, tanghali, gabi. Bugbog masyado yung muscles kaya siya nagka-cramps,” said the 46-year-old boxing legend.

And so he decided to do away with the practice a week before he departed to Las Vegas for his WBC welterweight title fight against reigning champion Mario Barrios.
He admitted that cramps had become a perennnial problem for his career for the past 20 years beginning with the first ever Juan Manuel Marquez fight.
“Yung cramps ko sa paa I’ve been fighting for 20 years. Lumalaban ako parang dalawa yung kalaban ko – yung kalaban ko at yung cramps ko,” said Pacquiao.
“For 20 years, tsaka ko lang na-discover.”
The eighth-time world division champion complained about cramps hindering his movement in previous fight including his last outing opposite Yordenis Ugas – a unanimous 12-round decision loss.

But now those things are in the past – hopefully.
“Kaya ang ginawa ko hindi na ako nagpapamasahe, like once a week na lang. So madalang na siya,” said Pacquiao.
“Ang sarap na niyang igalaw. Yung reflexions ko sa paa, medyo mabilis na siya kasi hindi na siya nagka-cramps. Better na siya ngayon.”
Pacquaio said it was he himself who personally suggested to lessen his leg massage.
“Ang ganda sana,” he said of the opportunity that was let go due to his cramping problem.
