MANNY Pacquiao arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday evening (Sunday, Manila time) for the second phase of his training a month before his highly-awaited rematch against American Tim Bradley for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.
The 35-year-old Filipino boxing icon broke camp in General Santos City on Friday, ending almost a month of training in the southern Mindanao province.
After taking a rest on Sunday, Pacquiao resumes his preparation for the Bradley fight on Monday (Tuesda Manila time) at the familiar confines of the Wildcard gym in Hollywood.
So far, Roach liked what he saw in the first part of Pacquiao’s eight-week training.
“We had a great camp in the Philippines, and Manny as usual, is way ahead of schedule in his conditioning … and very motivated,” said Roach upon their arrival in LA.
