    Pacquiao wins bid for Beverly Hills mansion for US$12.5M by throwing in four fight tickets

    THE great boxer that he is, Manny Pacquiao won a bidding war against two other buyers for a US$12.5 million Beverly Hills mansion by using every advantage he has.

    A report from USA Today bared the eight-division world boxing champion sealed the deal by offering the sellers four highly coveted tickets to his May 2 megafight with Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.

    The 36-year old Pacquiao and his family are set to move in the 10,000 square-foot property located within a gated and exclusive community.

    "No doubt it helped. The sellers are great fans of boxing and of Manny, so it was a big deal," said Elsa Nelson, Pacquiao’s realtor.

    The seven-bedroom mansion was bought with a provision that it comes fully furnished and the sellers, Gail and Roger Dauer throwing in an ample supply of orange flavored Gatorade, the boxer’s favorite drink.

    Pacquiao told Nelson that he and his wife Jinkee and their children wanted to move in within the week after the purchase.

    The fight with Mayweather is estimated to be worth around US$300 million with Pacquiao bringing home a guaranteed $80 million.
