UNDEFEATED prospect Kenneth Llover ended 2025 the way he began it.
The Filipino bantamweight made short work of Chinese opponent Ayati Sailike by stopping him in the second round Saturday night to retain his OPBF bantamweight title at the Aichi Sky Expo in Takoname, Japan.
Llover quickly asserted his power against the Chinese challenger and it was just a matter of time before the end came for the 29-year-old Sailike.
A rapid 1-2-3 punch combination finally had the Chinese down on both knees in the second round, before Llover went for the kill by swarming over Sailike, with two powerful looping left hands forcing the challenger to waive off the fight after being counted out by referee Nobuto Ikehara.
It was the fourth win by stoppage for the 22-year-old native of General Trias, Cavite this year, which he actually began by likewise retaining his OPBF crown against Keita Kurihara at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Llover raised his perfect record to 17-0 with 12 KOs as he continues to prime up for a possible world title shot by next year.
The rising Filipino boxing star is being co-handled by Gerry Penalosa Promotions and Kameda Promotions.
Sailike, outworked and outpunched by Llover in the match that lasted less than six minutes, fell to a 12-10-3 record (5 KOs).
