ANA ‘The Hurricane’ Julaton tries to bounce back from a sorry loss three months ago when she faces Perla Hernandez in a 10-round super-bantamweight bout on Friday (Saturday Manila time) in Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico.
The Fil-American female boxer, who owns a record of 12 wins, four losses, and a draw, will look to atone for a 10-round unanimous decision loss she suffered to Celina Salazar in Quintana Roo, Mexico last August.
Hernandez boasts of a record 10-6-3, but is on an 11-month hiatus after being beaten by Guadalupe Martinez via a unanimous six-round decision.
Julaton tipped the scales at 123.5 pounds during the weigh-in Thursday (Friday, Manila time) with Hernandez weighing at 124.
In preparation for the fight, Julaton trained at the gym of Floyd Mayweather Jr. where she even had a chance to meet Mayweather’s father Floyd Sr.
