FORMER World Boxing Organization Youth champion Jeffrey Arienza battles former Indonesian champion Wellem Reyk for the vacant WBO Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) super lightweight title in Night of Champions III on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Music Hall.
“Pinaghahandaan ko ito para manalo. Alam kong beterano itong kalaban ko, pinapahirapan ako ng coach ko sa ensayo pero nag-eensayo ako para manalo,” Arienza said.
The 26-year-old Arienza admitted he has an injury in his foot but insisted he is good to go.
“May injury ako dito sa kaliwang paa ko pero hindi iyon hadlang sa pag ensayo,” he said.
“Bata pa ako, siguro six years old o seven years old, yung laro namin sa sipasipaan, yung sasakay sa likod, bata pa eh,” he said laughing.
Night of Champions III will also feature a title match with Silvester Lopez going against Danilo Peña for the WBO ABCO featherweight title, while Donnie Mabao and JR Cagobgob clash for the Philippine flyweight crown.
