DANNY Garcia stunned heavy favorite Amir Khan with a fourth-round technical knockout in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the victory, Philadelphian Garcia added Khan's World Boxing Association junior-welterweight crown to the World Boxing Council title he already holds.
Garcia floored the Briton with a left hook in the third round before a barrage of punches in the fourth forced referee Kenny Bayless to stop the bout at 2:28 of the round.
Garcia stayed unbeaten in 24 bouts and chalked up the 15th knockout of his career. Khan bowed to 26-3.
Khan's loss also left the two top boxers in Freddie Roach's stable without a title. Roach's biggest star, Manny Pacquiao, had earlier lost to Timothy Bradley in their World Boxing Organization title fight.
In other boxing news, David Haye knocked out Dereck Chisora in the fifth round of their 10-round heavyweight clash in London.
