    Everybody wants a piece of the 'Pacman' as Mayweather fight draws closer

    LOS ANGELES – As the ‘Fight For The Ages’ draws closer, more and more people are aching to see one half of the marquee showdown.

    The five-bedroom house of boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao at Plymouth Blvd. was once teeming with visitors on Friday afternoon (Saturday, Manila time) shortly after he finished with workout at the Wild Card gym.

    Politician, movie personalities and other visitors occupied a space inside the house that sits in a 4,500-square meter lot, trying to get a glimpse, a photo, and an autograph of Pacquiao, days before the fight against Floyd Mayweather.

    Senator Ralph Recto came over along with a throng of companions, and so did comedian Bayani Agbayani, whose close friend Cesar Montano was at the Wild Card gym premises earlier. Also there were members of a party list from Bicol.

    “As usual punung-puno na naman yung mansion,” said a source who requested that he not be named.

    Mommy Dionisia also dropped by to have dinner and reportedly asked the visitors politely to allow his son to finally have his rest.

    “Pagpahingahin ninyo naman yan,” the same source quoted the Pacquiao matriarch as saying.

    It was way past 10 p.m. when the champ decided to call it a day. But just as he was heading upstairs, a group of pastors were seen following him and trying to have a conversation.

    As always, Manny was gracious enough to oblige.
