A precise jab-straight combo set the tone for the Tokyo Olympics silver medalist's commanding performance, showcasing his superiority throughout the one-sided bout, reminiscent of a practice session for the Talakag, Bukidnon native.

Despite nursing a right shoulder injury sustained during the first World Qualifiers in Busto Arsizio, Italy, Paalam exhibited no signs of discomfort as he outmaneuvered his opponent, priming himself for the upcoming bout against Turkmenistan’s Shukur Ovezov on May 28.
