CARL Jammes Martin came out victorious in his Las Vegas debut to keep his unbeaten record.
The ‘Wonder Boy’ hacked out a unanimous decision against Mexican Francisco Pedroza Portillo in an eight-round bout at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada watched no less by boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Ranked No. 2 by the WBO, the 26-year-old Filipino super-bantamweight won the bout convincingly by scores of 78-73, 78-73, and 79-72.
In all, he improved his record to 26-0 with 20 KOs.
A proud native of Ifugao, Martin scored the fight’s lone knockdown when he sent Portillo reeling to the canvas with a counter left hook to the delight of the fans at the venue including Pacquiao.

The 46-year-old Pacquiao took time to watch the Martin-Portillo match as he attended the presser announcing his July 19 WBC welterweight championship bout against reigning champion Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand.
It was the third straight victory overseas for the undefeated Filipino, who is being primed for a possible title shot by MP President Sean Gibbons, hopefully before the year ends.
He previously won his two fights in Mexico which both ended in knockouts against Anthony Jimenez Salas and Ruben Tostado Garcia.
The 30-year-old Portillo fell to a 19-13-2 record with 11 KOs.
