BEA Hernandez and Nina de Vera bagged the bronze medal in girls doubles in the 19th Asian Youth Bowling Championships on Tuesday at the Coronado Lanes at Starmall in Mandaluyong.
The Filipinas scored 2322, finishing 208 behind Yang Da Som and Lee Jung Min, who delivered South Korea’s third gold in four events in the tournament.
Singapore’s Charlene Lim and Jermaine Seah bagged the silver medal a 2345.
“We were just concentrated on our game and refused to be bothered by the crowd,” said the 17-year-old Hernandez.
“All the hard work and sacrifice somehow paid off,” added De Vera.
