FILIPINA bodybuilder Luz McClinton beat a tough field that included celebrated health and fitness expert Ashley Horner to rule the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (WBFF) Southwest US Championship in Oklahoma, USA.
The 34-year-old professional bodybuilder who once joined the local version of the Big Brother reality show, bagged the Pro Card Winner and Figure World Champion title of the tournament held last November 10.
McClinton also bagged the bronze in the Diva Fitness of the same competition.
She arrived from the US on Tuesday and is expected to make a courtesy call on President Aquino.
McClinton was the first Filipina to win the Pro Fame Figure World Championship in the US two years ago.
After a week's rest, she departs for Berlin, Germany for another competition set on November 21.
The working mother also recently won the Phil-Asia Pacific International Body Building Competition in Cebu City, earning the titles 2012 Cebu Philippines and 2012 UBFFP Ms. Phil- Asia, respectively.
The awards were among the many McClinton had won during the past years when she was crowned Fame International 2010 Champion, Ironpinoy Figure Champion 2010, Overall National Cebu Champion 2010, Fame Muscle Model Silver 2010, Ms. Boracay 2010, Ms. Physique Philippines 2009, Ms. Universe Figure 2009, and Ms. Fitness Philippines 2006.
