TEAM Asia is two wins away from reclaiming the Reyes Cup 2025 after another dominant performance in Day Three, extending its commanding lead to 9-1 against Team Rest of the World on Saturday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
US Open champions Carlo Biado and Aloysius Yapp pushed the home team closer to the victory after a 5-0 whitewash of Francisco Sanchez Ruiz and Moritz Neuhausen in their doubles match to put another early end to the session.
It was a complete masterclass from the Asian duo, pouncing on FSR’s missed 7 on rack 4 to go on the hill before capping off the night with a runout to eviscerate the visitors.
Duong Quoc Hoang also bucked losing the first rack in his singles match against Skyler Woodward to win five straight and claim the 5-1 victory.

So in form was the Vietnamese that he fluked the 9 as he took his shot in the 5-ball in rack 5 to get to the hill before blowing the American out of the water with a sweep of the next rack.
Team Rest of the World finally did get on the board after gutting out a 5-4 triumph in the teams match.
Biado forced the hill-hill affair after Jayson Shaw missed on the 4 in rack 8, but Neuhausen responded for Team ROW, cleaning up on Yapp’s dry break in the clincher to score the first for his side.
Team Asia, led by captain Francisco "Django" Bustamante, can close the event tomorrow with the teams match starting off the final day to be followed by the singles match between Yapp and Shaw and, if still necessary, the doubles match which will see Yapp team up with Duong against the pair of Shaw and Woodward.
