EARL 'The Pearl' Strickland and Ralf 'The Kaiser' Souquet struck back hard in the second day of WNT Legends at Gateway Mall 2 on Thursday.

The American great played flawlessly this time out to trump Efren 'Bata' Reyes, 11-6, for his first taste of victory in this three-day showcase.

Strickland pounced on Reyes missing the 9-ball on racks 5 and 6 to jump to a 5-1 lead.
Though 'The Magician' still weaved his magic with an amazing fluke on rack 8, Strickland was just on-point, winning the safety battle at 2 on rack 15 to get to the hill at 10-5.
Souquet, on the other hand, staged a rally to remember and outlasted Francisco 'Django' Bustamante, 11-10.
Down 7-2, the German great showed great poise to force the hill-hill match and eventually cleaned up the deciding table to take the win.
This sets up Strickland and Bustamante for Friday's final, with Reyes and Souquet facing off for third-place. A race-to-5 doubles match will also be held in between the games in the culminating day of the event.
