MURDER charges have been filed against six individuals for the death of billiards patron Perry Mariano and his driver.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Brig. Gen. Randy Silvio announced during a press briefing on Thursday the filing of criminal cases for two counts of murder against the suspects, who remain at large.
The suspects were identified through CCTV footage and backtracking, with the alleged gunman identified as from Lanao del Norte and the getaway motorcycle rider from Zamboanga del Norte.
Two more accomplices acted as spotters, while the other two took care of the stay of the gunman and the motorcycle rider in Metro Manila before the incident.
Mariano and his driver Norberto Orimaco were slain in broad daylight last April 28 while they were inside their vehicle at the intersection of EDSA and Timog Ave.
The QCPD is looking at Mariano's business dealings as possible motives for the ambush.
