RUBILEN Amit ruled the 2017 Guri International 9-Ball Championship after beating Wei Tzu Chien of Chinese Taipei, 9-2, on Sunday at the Guri Sports Complex in Kyeonggi Province in Korea.
Amit took home 30 million Korean won (about P1.4 million) by winning the prestigious title where 48 women players competed in the competition.
Amit began the knockout stage with a 9-4 win over Lee Woo Jin of Korea, 9-4, before beating Kuo Szu Ting of Chinese Taipei, 9-7. She also beat Chen Chia Hua of Chinese Taipei, 9-1, in the quarterfinal round.
In the semifinal round, Amit beat Eunji Park of Korea in a tight match, 9-8, to reach the final round.
