Dennis Orcollo, Lee Vann Corteza, Carlo Biado and Rubilen Amit downed the American quartet of Oscar Dominguez, Hunter Lombardo, Corey Deuel and Jennifer Barretta in their Group A match to advance.
The Filipinos still have a scheduled showdown against the Bulgaria squad of Stanimir Dimitrov, Radostin Dimov, Lyudmil Georgiev, Kristina Zlateva in the preliminaries.
The teams compete in the 8-ball men’s doubles, 8-ball men’s singles, 9-ball women’s singles, 9-ball men’s singles, 10-ball mixed scotch doubles, and 10-ball men’s singles.
