Pagulayan marches on in World Pool Masters

FIL-CANADIAN Alex Pagulayan debuted with an 8-6 win over Raj Hundal of India in the World Pool Mastesr in Kielce, Poland.

Pagulayan opened the match by winning the first four racks and never looked back as he booked a seat in the quarterfinals of the invitational tournament.

The eight-seeded Pagulayan faces unranked Mateusz Sniegocki in the quarterfinals. Sniegocki stunned top-seed Ralf Souquet of Germany, 8-6, in the first round.

Dennis Orcollo, the other Filipino entered in the tournament, sees action against top women's player Kelly Fisher in his first match in the tournament.

The winner of the Orcollo-Fisher match-up will face Finn Mika Immonen, an 8-7 winner over Radoslaw Babica of Poland.

Orcollo is fresh from his title conquest of the China Open 9-Ball tournament.
